Information from the owner, Chris: No bad habits, loads himself, clips, ties, bathes, stands for farrier, quiet, easy keeper, up to date on shots and teeth and gets along with other horses and animals. Poco trail rides alone and in groups, leads or follows, crosses streams, bridges, etc, and road safe. He has had reining training before I got him and knows his leads and is consistent in his speed at the lope or gallop. I've won Champion Versatility Ranch Horse, Reserve Champion, several year end buckles for Team Penning and Sorting events, did a 2 day roping clinic with Jhett Johnson. Jhett roped off of him and thought he was really very good at staying in position and rating the cow, staying in position when you heel and hold the cow, and coming out of the box at the right time. We caught several times (heeling) and Poco never got upset or wired up. I give beginners and intermediate lessons on him. Use him for beginners on trail rides. Do all day cattle drives, camping tied to a picket line or electic corral. He has points on his record for Western Pleasure and Halter. Very smooth to ride at the jog, extended trot, lope and gallop. Stops with a weight shift, neck reins, moves off leg and basically really well broke. Shaun called him "handy".
